Double Whammy!!

with the cold and flu. Last week, I had gotten the annoying cold but I was still able to function but man, Sunday… I got rocked. This was the first time that I had gotten a flu and slept ALL DAY. I really did. You might think I’m exaggerating but I’m really not. I woke up a few times due to nature calling me and I woke up to eat my first meal at 6.. something? 5? and knocked out right after. And I thought I was going to get brain damage because of my fever but the though of giving myself an ice bath made me think “O… a few brain cells dying won’t be too bad.” HAHA Plus I was too tired to move.

Anwaysy…
Pray for me ya’ll!

24!

I’m 24 now!!

If I had to describe my 23rd year, it would be Rocky Road. It was a rocky road but sweet at the same time. God confronted me with a lot of my sins, such as coveting, jealousy, etc. I’m still learning to not sin and to fight the urges to not sin so I know my 24th year, I’ll still be struggling but I hope and pray that as I continue my walk with God that it’ll get easier with age.

But it has also been sweet.. very sweet in fact. My friendships with Bekah and Frances grew tremendously to a point that we can talk about ANY… literally, from pop culture to God all in one sitting. My relationship with my parents had reached a new level of intimacy and I know that intimacy will be deeper as the 2000′s continue. Danny and I are engaged! What else could be sweeter then that! Four years of adventures, laughs, tears, fights together and with our friends. It’s been such a blessing.

As I continue aging and growing laugh lines and wisdom hairs (gray hairs) that my trust in God will grow. I really want to be Holy and not care what people think, act out my convictions and not just feel them, work out my salvation and not just be fat in my faith. Oh what a sinner am I but through His sovereign grace and love, I am His daughter! Who am I to not be the best Christian that God calls me to be.

Today is the day when the wedding is finally moving forward. We have a venue, I have a dress, we have colors set, etc. So to start with my semi-DIY wedding, I will be making my very first attempt at making a bird cage veil.

WAHHHH!!!! Wish me luck!
